Miami Themes on the Day After

I spent a lot of time traveling today and thus spent a lot of time listening to national sports radio shows. Obviously, the University of Miami story was running full blast.

As the day wore on, there appeared to be two themes that emerging from the pile of rubble. One was “these crimes are bad, but everybody does it.” The other was, “these crimes are bad, so let’s change the rules so we don’t have so many problems.”

Anybody else notice this? Time permitting, over the next few days I’ll try to expound on why these two themes don’t make sense.
