Good Reason for Gagging Coaches

The good Senator points out an interesting exchange regarding Georgia Bulldog effort:

2010: the year of pointing fingers | Get The Picture.

As most folks know, Coach Saban restricts media access for his coaches to usually a couple of times per year – e.g. around the bowl game and once in the preseason. These comments by UGA’s Mark Richt and defensive coordinator Todd Grantham underscore why this is a good policy (or why Richt may want to install it).

Richt points out a lack of effort by his team and Grantham responds that it’s not the defense. The lack of effort certainly needs to be addressed, but publicly poking a stick in the eye of the offense can’t be good.
