I Like This Ron Brown Guy

I don’t know much about Nebraska assistant football coach Ron Brown and I knew nothing about him before the recent controversy. 

But I like him.

I am a born again Christian, but I have a hard time just blindly endorsing whatever so-called Christian pops up in the news. 

But after reading this, I have to say I like you, Ron Brown:

“The question I have for you all is, like Pontius Pilate, what are you going to do with Jesus?” Brown asked at his March appearance in Omaha. “Ultimately, if you don’t have a relationship with him, and you don’t really have a Bible-believing mentality, really, anything goes… At the end of the day, it matters what God thinks most.”

That excerpt came from an ESPN.com article and it’s not made clear in the article where Brown made the remarks.  Are they what got him in trouble?  Were they made in response to the controversy?  It doesn’t really matter because he’s dead on the mark. 

What do we do about Jesus?  It’s not about hating other people or denying their rights…it’s what do we do about Jesus.
