Initial thoughts from Bama’s 48-7 win over Kent State:
** Four interceptions by the new quarterbacks. Not a good way to get started.
** AJ McCarron seemed to have played better, although his passes seemed to float a bit and it looked like he was throwing off of his back foot.
** To my eyes, it looked like the offensive line didn’t play well.
** The defense played very well and should have had a shut out.
** Special teams looked ordinary with several bobbled balls and one fumble.
** The quarterback and offensive line need to nail down the starters. We need to find our identity on offense and that’s hard to do with tryouts happening on game day.
