Ole Miss Job Politics

Bruce Feldman may not think much of the Ole Miss job, but The Birmingham News does:
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians has strong ties to the region, having served two stints each on the staffs at Alabama and Mississippi State. There may be another connection, as well. Arians was the quarterbacks coach with the Indianapolis Colts when Peyton Manning was a rookie.
And Manning’s father, Ole Miss icon Archie Manning, is a member of the search committee.
Despite its proximity with LSU, Alabama and Arkansas — the top three teams in this week’s BCS rankings — the Ole Miss job continues to be attractive.
